You will succomb to the charm of the gîtes at La Bastide de Saint-Martin, an old and impo- sing former silk-worm farm. An old eighteen century style building recently modernised, har- moniously integrating the traditional materials of stone, wood and metal.
You will find a haven of calm in the heart of a rural and peaceful hamlet. "La Bastide" is only a 15 minute walk from the touristic and busy centre of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.
You will definitely fall under the spell of old stones used with traditional finish ( chalk coating) and the plainness of polished antique local furniture gleaned from flea markets.

Relaxing or eating in the pool-house, by our private swimming-pool, is a fine way to holiday, but activity holidays can give you an adrenaline rush! So, locally, you can practise hiking, mountain-biking, riding, canoeing, rock-climbing, cave-exploring, canyoning or play Tarzan from tree to tree! ( with or without Jane!).
Cultural activities will invite you to the discovery of prehistoric men who built up dolmens and decorated ( 38 000 years ago)- the CHAUVET Cave . An exhibition presents its oldest prehistoric engravings in the world.
